The Barn

Greetings!

We are a small private farm located in Rexford New York which is just about halfway between Saratoga and Albany right off of I-87 (the Northway).

Hidden Horse Farm is situated in the back parcel of King Crest Farm which is 50 acres. Because of this, we are able to ride around the property as long as we don't trample the hay fields.

The riding area

The sand riding area is 125ft by 175ft. We have several barrels and cones for practicing those tight turns.

We also have some jumps, compliments of one of our boarders, if you are so inclined.

The Roundpen

Our round pen is 60 feet wide and 6 feet tall.

Since we practice the training methods of Natural Horsemanship, we have constructed a solid-wall round pen.

Because of its circular shape, it is possible to influence the horse to "want" to give the correct answer to the trainers request. It is the safest method to retrain problem horses, as well as train young horses. Roundpen training always encourages positive responses from the horse.

One of the Turnout Areas

This is one of our turn-out areas. We have three areas like this to get them all out at the same time.

The nice thing about having different turnout areas, is you can group the horses by temperament, thus avoiding injuries.

We provide full care to our Boarders which includes:

  • All day turn out in spacious areas. There are 3 (or less) horses to an area so no-one gets lonely.
  • The stalls are cleaned every day including holidays.
  • Stalls are 10ft by 12ft and are matted.
  • Newly constructed 60 foot-wide round pen with sand footing.
  • We feed hay four times a day and grain morning and night in the stalls.
  • If you wish to get on our blacksmith schedule then we handle that too.

Our prices are modest.
